About Te Wāhi
Te Wāhi Auaha (literally 'the making space') is a makerspace at Takapuna Grammar School, Tāmaki Makaurau.
Open to students and staff, the vision of Te Wāhi is to utilise new emerging technologies across different subject areas.
It's an open space with facilities for 3D printing, laser cutting, augmented reality, digital modeling and animation.
Presently, it has two Ultimaker 3D printers, a computer suite with Adobe Creative Cloud, a laser cutter/engraver, a t-shirt + mug press, and a wide range of hand tools + materials.
The space is open by appointment for individual projects. Otherwise, the space hosts Innovation Workshop and Robotics Club every Thursday after school in PB61 for students to come and work on their projects.
Nau mai, haere mai. Welcome to Te Wāhi.
